Rhod Gilbert has made a triumphant return to the stage after battling head and neck cancer. The 54-year-old comedian recently performed at the Swansea Arena for the first time in a year and admitted he was delighted to be back on the stand-up scene.

Gilbert was diagnosed with stage four cancer in July last year and was treated at the Velindre Cancer Center in Cardiff. He is now in remission and has been working on his new show, which debuted at the Swansea Arena.
